January-February update

Dear friends,
Greetings from us.
We want to give you a little update for this past month and what we up to right now.
As you probably know that we were in Florida for Christmas and New Year with Kowal’s family, it was a great time for us spending time with them, warmer weather and enjoy the beach so much. To us, Florida is probably the closest environment we can get for what we use to back in Indonesia. The weather, plants, and houses are so typical. Our thanks to John & Darlene, Russ & Dina Kowal for their hospitality and the great time we had. We also had a good visit with Steve manda’s parent down in Englewood and on our way back to Michigan we stopped by Sanford where New Tribes Mission headquarter is. That was our first time there and Aaron & Sarah Libera did a great job took us for a tour over the NTM facilities and met all the dedicated ordinary people who serve The Lord with their heart full of joy. So it was good to know more about who are we serving The Lord with. The next day after spending a night with Libera’s family, we headed back to Michigan. The whole trip to & from Florida basically went well, challenging, relaxing with some light problems with the van we were driving with.
Back to Michigan after two weeks lived in Florida was not easy (we’re talking about the cold MI weather), everybody in the family have to go through cold, flu, fever, skin allergies and more. All these sickness kind of go around and around our family for four weeks until now. This is part of our prayer request and we would like to ask you to pray for this situation.
Nomad’s Instrument flight training has taken most of the one year training time here in The States. That’s why Nomad is hoping to get the Instrument checkride done so that he can move on to the next stage of the training.
Just so that you know, we’ve been living here for almost ten months now-which mean we have only a little over two more months left on our student visas. Scott Meyer is working along with an immigration lawyer to get business visa to replace our student visas. To extend our current student visa seems not an option anymore after what we had experience before. Business type visa will allowing us to continue three or four months Commercial Pilot training here in School of Missionary Aviation Technology Michigan and then will let us go down to McNeal Arizona for further training with NTM Aviation with the same business visa. So that’s why our program leaders considered business visa better over student visa. Please pray for all the procedures need to be done for this.
And again, we do appreciate & thank you for you prayer & support for us. We have been encouraged just by knowing your faithfulness on standing for us during our preparation for the mission aviation.

To HIM Be The Glory,
Nomad + Vanti
Madi, Carly + Marion
