No Baby Yet

THE NELMANS MAY NEWS

Hi! Greetings from Manado-Indonesia,
It’s been a very great time for us family as we are now still staying with Fanty’s parents and her siblings, we’re also in new bigger bedroom than before which allows Fanty to walk around and sleep better. Kids are getting use to everything, they start understand and speak some Indonesian and we just love to see how they pick up words so fast. Fanty is now overdue with the baby but we have another week to wait according to our doctor and will see after that what options they have for Fanty. This is Fanty’s longest pregnancy among our other kids, she is so anxious about having the baby on her hands.
A couple of weeks ago Nomad by himself had chance to visit his Mom in Maluku island, it was good family reunion for him since two of his sisters and a adopted brother were there. As you all know, nomad was also asked to go to work on the water system. Nomad’s mom was so glad that they finally have running water again in the house after almost two years without it and they had to hauled water up and down the river which about 100 meters away from the house. One great praise during Nomad’s time in Maluku was to witness his sister came to know Christ, this was not an instant profession for her but after every night in a week studying God’s Word specifically on salvation she became fully understand God’s grace for her. Please pray for Nomad’s sister as she grow as a new believer.
Here in Manado we’re doing small group Chronological Bible study every night with Fanty’s families and relatives and sometimes one or two neighbors came to join us, but it’s too difficult for most of them to understand if they not follow each lesson because they’re not attending it regularly. But right now we have three person regularly doing it with us and we will be very grateful if they can do this to the end of the Firm Foundation lesson.
We’re planning on staying in Manado city (with Fanty’s parents) until july and then will get ready to go to the Campus (missionary training center) to do our one year mission training. For those who don’t know, we have already take the first year of missionary training with this school which has the emphases on studying the Bible(first year was more like a bible school). So now we are going to be doing the mission portion of the training. Please pray for our preparation for everything that we need during the training.
As our family growing we’re currently thinking about getting a family van, we’re starting to realize with all the motorcycle accidents here it actually too risky to have small kids like our kid’s age in the motorcycle because they have almost no protection, plus with the car or van will definitely better for a long trip. We’re thinking of a used van or small suv that will also be use later when we move to different places, such as in Kalimantan. We have some saving from selling our vehicle in The States but that’s not enough yet to get a car here in Indonesia, so right now we have 50% in meeting this needs. If you interested in helping our ministry by meeting this needs please let us know and we will make sure that go toward this specific needs.
We sincerely thank you for all your support in prayers, financially and thru all of your encouragements for us. Lord bless you!

In His Great Love,
