Heading back to Indonesian

03/14/2009

Dear Friends,

We had a big discussion with our leadership of NTM Indonesia regarding our plan in relation with our visas status right now. Our business visa application have not been denied yet but according to immigration rules we can’t exceed 240 days(8 months) staying under pending visa and in our calculation of date, by the end of this month (march) will be our 240 days so beyond it we will be out of status with no option than leave the country.
We probably made a real rush decision just because we put Fanty’s pregnancy as a main concern at this time. If we can go home right now (within this month), Fanty will still be able to fly with the airliner but after this month she would reach her 35 weeks of pregnancy and most airline wont let her fly. On the other hand if we have to wait until Fanty give birth to the baby then we will be overstay/out of status with our pending visa and will also keep us at least 4 months before we can go home (considering Fanty’s recovery and all the paper work for the baby). Sure, it will be a different situation if we got our visas approved which mean we can just request an extension for our visa. But we really don’t have time to wait for our visa to get it approved because of Fanty’s situation.
Now that we have decided to go back to our country with all of our tickets confirmed for the 23th of this month, we are in rush of packing our luggage and prepare the crate for our kitchen stuff, mechanic tools, and toolbox to be shipped over to Indonesia.
As you can see this was a big surprise for us as a family and a big change in our plan too. But yet we trust God whose in control of everything and for His best plan for us.
Nomad’s training here in Arizona with NTMA have just completed (all flying & maintenance for fixed wing). Regarding all other further training that we have mentioned on our previous updates letter will have to wait until later in the future.
And for Fanty to have the baby in Manado, Indonesia become the plan right now. This of course will drastically reduced the cost of giving birth compare to here in Arizona but at the same time we are facing another huge expenses with shipping, setup cost in Indonesia in preparation for continuing our one year mission training in National Missionary Training Center which will be starting on august this year, and there is several traveling cost where nomad will have to fly to Jakarta to give report to our mission board and then fly to Pontianak where Nomad will start be looking for available house to rent for the next year and also for him to start be in the loop with the aviation program there before we all head there next year where we will be serving in aviation with NTM/YMMP.
All of these seems overwhelmed but we starting to feel that we are part of the ministry of reaching the lost for Christ and we’re so excited about this.
We are sorry for all of the sudden change in our plan. But we truly encouraged by you and all of your support in prayers & financially for our family.

Gratefully Serving Him,
Nomad & Fanty Nelman
