We would like to give you an update on what’s going on us in this last couple of weeks. We are praising the Lord for His faithfulness in protecting us and keeping us going through out the past year and we are even able to begin this year with new courage and strength from Him. Thank you so much for all your prayers, encouragements and for your financial support for us, we realize we would not be here today doing what’s God want us to do if no one from God’s children willing to sacrifice time, money and even talent to support us.

Our trip to California last Christmas went really well. We were able to use one vehicle for two families in order to save money on gas. A good thing that we have a suburban that can be load with 11 passengers(2 extra seats were installed on the cargo area) and cargo on top of it. It was a little too crowded with 6 toddlers inside but we made it home in Arizona safely. We had a good time with McDole’s family- our friend missionary in LA California, they were able to provide us a house for two weeks from one of their friend at church. And that was a real blessing how God provide it for us. We were able to report our present here in the States to the Indonesian consulate as the prerequisite before we can apply for passports, thankfully everything took place in one day(normal process at least 2-3 days).
During our time in California, since it was Christmas and new year so our schedule were full with get together with Indonesian group and Indonesian churches in the area. It was a great opportunity for us to meet and challenge them with the work for the Gospel to our own countrymen. Some of them have been living in the States for a long time and don’t even know if there is still unreach people group in Indonesia. We were so blessed with all the Indonesian food and the fellowship with other Indonesian- so we did feel home for awhile.
As we came back to Arizona we were fresh and ready for the training. Nomad had finish one part of the training and starting this month with aircraft maintenance training, in April he will doing transition flight training to a different aircraft(from Cessna 185 to Cessna 206). For some of you who don’t know or did not follow our news from the beginning, we just want to explain about the training that Nomad is doing right now- Nomad is already have all his Fix wing Pilot and Mechanic licenses and ratings when we were in Michigan with School of Missionary Aviation Technology and what he is doing right now is the standardization training to meet New Tribes Mission Aviation (NTMA) standard in flying and also maintenance.
Our leadership asked us to consider an additional helicopter training and if possible to extend our stay here for several more months beyond what we have scheduled, this all because of the current Indonesian government required for all mission agencies who operates aircrafts in the country have to have at least one national personal trained for both category of aircraft(airplane & helicopter) or one personal per each category. This February NTM Indonesia will start operate helicopter in Indonesia by using helicopter from HELIMISSION under a working agreement between these two mission agencies but ones NTM get their own helicopter imported to Indonesia then the whole government requirements will have to met by NTM itself. This where we are needed to fulfill this requirement and of course this training will really depends on our visa and a whole new funds will need to be raise for the training. Nothing change in our ministry, there just be more responsibility in part of building God’s Kingdom as we have all these skills.
We are in the midst of uncertainty regarding our visa, no news so far but we still have our real hope in God who is in control of everything and He knows when and what is the best for us.
Our family is doing good, for some reason we miss snow. Everytime the kids get up in morning and saw this thick fog around our trailer house, they would ask us if they can go outside and play with snow and so we just keep telling them that was not snow but fog, so then the conversation with kids will goes on and on all about snow, snowman, snow sledding, shoveling snow and more. Well guest what? life in Michigan took a big chunk of space in their brain memory.
The kids are growing really fast, our oldest daughter will turn 5 this may so she will be in kindergarten this year, she so exiting about going to school and we are so grateful that she’s pretty good now with numbers, alphabets, shapes, colors and also spelling and because she knows about a lot of things so she said she would like to be a teacher one day and working with the small kids and even now she is doing a very good job on teaching her two sisters.
Carly (our second daughter) almost as big as Madison, she will be four this july and enjoy so much her time in her Sunday school class specially doing projects & interaction with other kids. Our poor Marion just had 5 shots for 7 vaccines recently and about three weeks ago she also had 4 shots that covered 6 vaccines, she is doing fine right now and hopefully will stay like that in this next couple of days.
Fanty is the busy mom, Her pregnancy seems to be doing okay, she finally got over her morning sickness. When we got back from our trip to California we were able to go for an ultrasound to find out how is the baby doing and also the baby gender and we are so exciting because this year we will be welcoming a baby boy in our family so praise the Lord for that. T he next thing that we have been thinking right now if the baby will be born here in the States then we will need to be ready for all the cost involve, we have checked two homebirth midwife in the area and they all gave price range almost as much as doing it in the hospital so we still considering what will be the best for us to do. But if for visa reason we have to go back to Indonesia before the baby due then it’s going to be a lot easier back home but we don’t want that to happen before we finish the training here in McNeal. So if you can remember pray for God’s provision, strength and wisdom for us during this time, we will really appreciate that.

Thank you so much for your patient waiting for our news and again thank you for your faithful support for us. God Bless You!
