Big Needs

Dear Friends,
We are trying to sell or get rid of Our ‘91 crown Victoria for it wont be a good vehicle or worth of carrying it down to Arizona since it has a some problem with transmission.
We’re in need of an old pickup truck with extended cabin for 5 person (driver included) or an old 12-15 passenger van and can pull trailer for the purpose of moving. That way we(two families) don’t have to rent U-Haul and we can put all of our stuff on back of the truck or van and the trailer instead.
So if anyone of you live close to us and would like to sale for a decent price, donate or even lend your truck or van to our Indonesian program that will be a great help.
Why it will be a great help?
We’re trying keep each family in one vehicle for 3 days trip down and we need a vehicle to go out for groceries and church at least twice a week while we in the specialize training with NTMA.
Please let us know soon us you can so that we can consider futher ways for us to go down to AZ.Thank You so Much, God Bless You.

Two Months Adventure

Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and supports for us. We’re currently waiting for Nomad to finish up his commercial training before we head down to Arizona. He recently got his commercial written test done and now studying and practicing for the oral and practical exam. By the way, Nomad’s trip with Scott, Yus and Chris to McNeal, AZ last april went really well. We travel thousands of mile straight through without get really tired and of course just had to stop for gas and restroom. That’s the benefit we had with four drivers, Seems like the more drivers you have the more convenient the trip is, so we really enjoyed the trip. On our way back we had a very good time in El Paso Texas, great food, good fellowship with Scott’s cousin and the church there in El Paso. During our visit in McNeal we were able to meet some of the neat people who serving the Mission through aviation and of course the main purpose of the trip is to arrange and to be familiarize with the place that we are going to spend our time for specialize training in the next nine to ten months start in august this year. The most challenging and was also exciting moment for Nomad was when he actually fly the real mission plane (Cessna 185). It’s a dream come true, When Nomad was working in one of the flight base in Indonesia as hangar helper (which they only have Cessna 185 for all their flight program), he used to wash this type of plane every time the plane just got back from some of the tribal airstrip because of the mud and cow pup all over the plane. One time when he was doing that he wondered if one day he can fly that plane. And it took five years for Nomad to reach that dream even though only for about 2 hours flight. This is so awesome to look back and see the hands of The Lord have been directing our lives, there were many times that we were facing our giant life and He gave us strength and wisdom, we were walking off the path but with His faithful love and kindness He guided us back to His wonderful plan for our lives. There were many miracles that we experienced during our journey and of course this letter wont be enough to list and describe every great work of our Lord.

What’s coming up next?
We’re only have less than 2 months here in Michigan before we moved down to Arizona, so we actually start packing up. There are many things need to be done before we move. On top of this we’re actually start raising support for our ministry and this is probably going to be a biggest task and challenge for us. We would love share with you what God has for us next, so if you or your friends have a get together in a small group, Sunday school, churches or even individual and would like to have us share with you, just give us a call or email us for the arrangement and we will do everything we can for you. We’re not in a full time raising support due to the uncertain Visa situation and the time is so limited for us, so there are things need to be prioritized which in this case is our training, Lord willing, we will continue to raise our support 2-3 months after the specialize training which will start in may 2009 before we head back to Indonesia. Please continue to pray for our visas as that will permit us to complete the last stage of our training.

A Glimpse of Vanti and kids!

Spring seems has bring a relieve for Vanti and the kids, they all doing better with more outdoor time. Madison has finish her 9 months of preschool last week, her teachers were so sad to hear that we are going to move to Arizona. Madison start miss her classmate and teachers so much that she keep thinking about going to school. She wont be in a preschool once we moved to Arizona just because of no near by preschool in the area. But instead she will have more friends of her age in our new neighborhood. For Carly and Marion, moving down to Arizona will be a totally different world for them as they enter the world of friendship (communicate, share and behave with other kids) in their daily bases. Vanti still hunting for yard/garage sale and she seems to enjoy it so much, this is something that we don’t have back in Indonesia.
Please continue to pray for us as we go through our final stage of the training, and again thank you for your prayer and support for us. God Bless You!

In HIS Grace,
Nomad & Vanti Nelman

Since our situation with our specific ministry are pretty new to our Mission regarding amount of support needed for national missionary so we gathered several information from our leadership and friend missionaries to give us approximate support needed for our ministry in Indonesia. Meeting this support level is not a prerequisite for us but we are encouraged by our mission organization to raise and meet our own support for ministry. We’re trusting The Lord for His provision to meet our support need thru your partnership & generosity with us. So we would love for you to join in God’s work with us by giving financially and joining in prayer for us and the people of Indonesia.
